Miro Laiho works as a producer and a director. He has also been working as a composer and sound designer in dozens of film-, commercial-, TV- and internet projects from the year 2002 with his artist name Michael Law. Miro Laiho won the award for best short film with his directorial debut, "Herääminen" (ENG: The Awakening) in the Iik! Horror Film Festival of 2009. His film "Loppuun palaneet" (ENG: The Reach) was nominated for best cinematography and sound / music in the 2010 Uneton 48 short film competition, where Miro also won the contest of best film idea pitching. Miro Laiho produced an audio drama "Hän puhuu", which was awarded with an honorary recognition in the 2009 Tornio Radio Festival. Miro Laiho co-produced, wrote and directed a 36-min psychological horror film, "8", which had its premiere in the 2011 Night Visions festival, the biggest genre event in Finland. The project was recognised by press internationally due to its innovative social media campaign and the possibility to follow the shoot interactively via internet. Time Films Oy was founded in June 2012. It produces films, cinematic marketing videos and commercials. It is also a freelance agency working as a link between production companies and individual freelance talent in the audiovisual field. Miro Laiho's agenda is to enhance the quality of Finnish film productions, create international co-productions and make the booking of freelance talent easier in Finland.
